Highlights of the pilot program with Geotab devices from November 2011 to July 2012 on 70 vehicles (after establishing a 4 month baseline)
- 92% increase in seatbelt use
- 12% reduction in idling over 5 minutes
- 42% reduction in speed over 70 mph
- 70% reduction in harsh driving (acceleration, turn and braking)
- 9.5% increase in mpg
Outcome of pilot program is why we have expanded to 195 devices and continue to work on reporting functions to increase return on investment.
