LONGVIEW, TEXAS (May 27, 2020) –  EnVue Telematics, a leader in intelligent vehicle technology, has hired fleet services expert Dan Shive as Director of Client Engagement and Account Management. Shive’s decades of experience in creating successful accident and safety fleet plans will enhance the services EnVue Telematics offers clients. He starts in his new position June 1, 2020.

The hiring underscores a primary mission at EnVue Telematics: Providing clients value beyond the purchase and helping them analyze and leverage data in support of business strategy and goals.

For Shive, the new position is the next step in a successful career that has centered on helping fleets better manage risk and create a culture that emphasizes safety. He has worked 30 years in high-level roles, including 24 years at LeasePlan. From 2005 to 2017, he served as the company’s Vice President of Risk Management. And 2 years at Donlen as the VPBD Accident & Safety Products

At LeasePlan, Shive developed innovative ways to help clients create sound and effective fleet policies. He started by identifying clients’ underlying goals and objectives, then brought in stakeholders from different departments to develop a plan. Shive’s approach taught clients that developing sound fleet policies mitigates losses and creates an environment and culture that is safety driven.

Shive brings this same devotion to client success to EnVue Telematics. He said he will focus on KPIs that make clients successful, and then provide them information in telematics and other areas of risk management that make fleet management “better and smarter.”
