Longview, Texas (July 1, 2019) – EnVue Telematics, a leader in intelligent vehicle technology, is a proud Platinum Sponsor for the upcoming Texas Lineman’s Rodeo at beautiful Nolte Island Park on the Guadalupe River just outside Seguin.
The rodeo, which is being held from July 18-20, offers line workers from electric service suppliers from around the State of Texas a fun, competitive way to showcase their skills for friends and family and promote safety. Competitions include pole climbs and hurtman rescues. There are competitions for teams, individuals and linemen at the journeyman and apprentice level.
The event also includes a barbecue competition. Since it’s the Lone Star State, expect some of the best barbecue in the world. It includes competitions in brisket, ribs and Dutch ovens. The event also includes a golf tournament, fish fry and an awards ceremony, among other events.

Safety is a major focus of the event. The linemen demonstrate their ability to work on high-voltage wires quickly but safely. The Texas Lineman’s Rodeo Association created the popular event to showcase both the linemen’s skills and dedication to safety. Linemen use their education and training to practice electrical safety and encourage cost-reducing efficiency and proficiency methods.
