In a partnership that will provide fleets access to behavior-based risk management technology and quality after-the-sale service, EnVue Telematics is now offering eDriving’s Mentor TSP (Telematics Service Partner) program. The innovative technology connects a customer’s existing Geotab fleet management solution with eDriving’s patented driver risk management platform, Virtual Risk Manager®, to help reduce incidents, collisions, MVR license violations, and total cost of fleet ownership.
This means fleet managers and drivers can use both systems for data-driven risk management solutions.
Ed Dubens, Founder/CEO of eDriving, said the partnership furthers the company’s goal of putting products that increase driver safety into as many hands as possible.
“Our mission is to help clients reduce injuries, collisions and their total cost of operation by increasing safety and reducing risk. We support that goal through systems that help our clients create a culture where collisions are not simply accepted as part of the job – we call it a ‘crash-free culture®,” he said. “Ultimately, our job is to help every driver get through their day safely so they can return home to their loved ones.”
Dan Shive, Director of Client Engagement for EnVue Telematics, said the partnership with eDriving will help EnVue continue to create additional value to clients by creating synergies within the Risk Management arena.
“Here at EnVue, we strive to provide fully comprehensive products and services,” Shive said. “Through this partnership, we can make safety even easier and keep drivers, their families and the general public safe while driving.”
Years of Experience in Driver Risk Management
The leaders of eDriving bring more than two decades of experience to global driver risk management. The company specializes in creating risk management solutions that make driving safely easier to accomplish. Clients for eDriving include Johnson & Johnson, Coca Cola, Toyota and Munich RE. More than one million drivers in 96 countries use eDriving’s programs.
The company’s flagship Virtual Risk Manager® (VRM) program supports fleet managers in identifying, training and coaching their most at-risk drivers. This is especially important as typically 20% of drivers account for 80% of an organization’s risk, insurance and liability costs.
What Mentor TSP Offers Fleet Managers
The Mentor TSP driver safety solution offered through EnVue Telematics allows those using Geotab systems – which are also offered by EnVue telematics – to seamlessly connect with the VRM platform to reduce injuries, collisions, MVR license violations, and total cost of fleet ownership.
A derivative of Mentor by eDrivingSM, which is currently used by organizations around the world to help improve at-work driver behavior, Mentor TSP uses sensors in iOS and Android smartphones to collect and analyze data on the driving behaviors most predictive of risk. These include acceleration, braking, cornering, speeding, and phone distraction, one of the biggest threats to road safety today.
Through eDriving’s partnership with industry analytics leader FICO®, driver on-road performance is converted into an individual FICO® Safe Driving Score, which has been validated to help predict the likelihood of a driver being involved in a collision. Personalized insights are provided privately to drivers after each trip, showing both positive and negative driving events and exactly where they occurred. Additionally, engaging, interactive micro-training modules are delivered directly to the driver in-app to help promptly remediate identified risky behaviors.
Mentor TSP for Geotab customers combines a driver’s FICO® Safe Driving Score with their collision history, license violation history and data insights processed by Geotab, including seat belt usage, idling, reversing and fuel efficiency, in one performance management solution for enhanced risk reduction and claims management opportunities. Mentor TSP’s comprehensive offering also includes manager coaching, eLearning, license checking and Driver Event Reporting (DER) tools.
Shive said in offering eDriving’s Mentor TSP system, as well as providing client consulting services on how best to use the system, EnVue wants to help clients create safer, less costly operations. “Safety is a key component for fleets and for us,” Shive said. “We’re excited to offer a product that helps fleets keep drivers and the general public safer every day on the road.”
